Lee's Inlet Kitchen                                   4460 Business Highway 17,   Murrells Inlet, SC                                       843-651-2881
One of the first restaurants to open in Murrells Inlet remains one of the best. In fact, Lee's Inlet Kitchen has been named one of the top 10 seafood restaurants in South Carolina by Southern Living Magazine, and for good reason. Opened in 1948, Lee's Inlet Kitchen tempted visitors to drive the extra mile for fresh seafood served with Southern hospitality. Originally located in a former gas station, Lee's has had to expand several times to accommodate the hungry patrons who pack the house virtually every night. Lee's is famous for its seafood platters, served fried or broiled, and house specialties like oyster stew, she-crab soup and shrimp and grits. Find out why we are the best Seafood Restaurant in the Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet area. We prepare our fresh seafood in the same Lowcountry-Murrells Inlet style that our family did in the 1940's. Customers tell us this style of food can't be found anywhere else. Our fresh seafood is prepared in the same manner as it was originally. Many of the recipes used such as our Shrimp Salad and Creole, Tartar and Cocktail Sauces, Corndodgers and famous Onion Rings have been handed down from generation to generation. We hope you'll enjoy your dinner and come back to see us again soon. Open for lunch and dinner, Lee's also offers an early light menu as well as great "landfood" options.

Inlet Provision Company                        4891 Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet, SC                                 843-299-2444

Located beside Hot Fish Club on the southern end of Murrells Inlet, it’s owned and operated by the HFC family – but it’s a totally different experience. The menu is quirky, to say the least, with a focus on affordability – most items run between $4 and $12 – and fresh, locally sourced meats, seafood and produce whenever possible.

The interior has a rustic feel …  it’s quaint old fishing village meets new age funky. The spacious interior is cozy with lots of windows that showcase beautiful views of the marsh. Outside, an expansive waterfront deck affords panoramic views of the creek. Birders can enjoy pelicans, egrets, wood storks and even the occasional eagle. Access the south end’s Marsh Walk and crab dock from the deck, too.

The food. This menu is all over the place. Dips and Bits feature local peanuts boiled in a locally brewed beer, spicy cubed hummus fries, flash-fried and topped with English cucumber, tomato, onion and Tzatziki sauce toasted sesame and garlic spicy edamame, flash-boiled in the pod are interesting. Small plates and apps are plentiful and inventive. Samples include chicken and waffles – “Provision-style” fresh chicken tenders dipped in Belgian waffle batter, deep-fried and served with maple syrup, honey Dijon and pork belly blackeye peas or Drunk’d Up Shrimp, flash-fried and tossed in Makers Mark Bourbon BBQ sauce and served over lettuce. Soups and salads feature fresh fruits, vegetables and cheeses in delightful combinations.

Creative burgers and sandwiches are served with a choice of “Sideways Fries,” (Provision-style beer-battered potatoes that are a cross between chips and fries) or zucchini slaw. Specialty seafood platters, fresh fish and Inlet steam pots full of shellfish, corn on the cob and potatoes as well as peel and eat shrimp are available. Sides include Lowcountry collards and a loaded baked potato cake. All desserts are scratch-made with with local milk and homemade ingredients and served in Mason jars. Tasty craft beers and cocktails are not to be missed.

Take time to explore and expect the unexpected from a restaurant where one of the items offered is described as “kinda weird, but tasty menu, pub-inspired atmosphere and an awesome atmosphere, the IPC is shaping up to be a mighty fun place to hang.

Classically Shabby   shrimp — beer — blues  All the classics (and soon-to-be) from South Carolina's lowcountry to you.

By the time you get to have a restaurant that's old enough to drink, you learn how to get things right. You know the best brews, and the blues they go with. You know how sweet to make the iced tea, and whom to make it even sweeter for.
You get Wi-Fi. You know where all the bar stools go and how to make sure the Tiki Bar stays tiki-ing until the wee hours of the morning. You give it a sweet three letter name: the PIT.

Yet some things never change. Our Island Country Club is still a triple-decker like it’s always been. The Psycho Burger is just as crazy as it was the first time around. Our cocktails are still just right, and our Sundays are still just lazy. We wanted to have a place that we could all go — with our kids or our parents, as locals or wish-we-were-locals — and enjoy it just the same. And so we did. We’ll never call ourselves perfect, but we might just call our crabcakes that, if you don’t mind.
